Blue screen on launching Profiler => IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE

    Similar to questions asked by other people. If I try to launch the profiler in VS2008 Team System SP1 I get a Blue screen with the error "IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE".


    I've read this was a known issue and has been fixed for the Nehalem processors, and that the hotfix is avaliable from Microsoft. I'm however on a newer SandyBridge architecture CPU (i7) and therefore it's probably not the right hotfix for me. 


    Is this a known issue on the newer CPU's and if so is there a hotfix that would work for my CPU?
