Simple way to create fully componentized XPe image?

Question

I need to create what is pretty much a full blown (all components) XPe image.  There are a few items to remove (such as auto updates, games, etc.) just to streamline things a bit but basically we need a full working XP OS.  Disk space, etc. is not an issue.  Is there a way to add all components and then just remove those desired? Are there any templates which are pretty much a full blown OS? Is there a way to select/add multiple components at once?  Having to go through every single software component is going to be very cumbersome in this case.

So I follow Sean Liming's "Full XP Pro Like Solution" exactly as the support document directs, resolve all dependencies, and still end up with 68 errors.

So some XPe newbie questions:

1) Should I be concerned about the errors?

2) If yes to 1) then how should I go about resolving the errors?

3) Why if I resolve all the dependencies do I still end up with errors?

What are the errors?

Did you run TAP.EXE on your target system to get the hardware components?

Are you using the correct version of the Full solution with the correct tools XPe or WES?

Yes I ran TAP.exe for hardware components.  If I check dependencies on this component alone I'm able to resolve with no errors or warnings. 

I'm using Full XP Pro WES2009 with the WES2009 design center.  Below are the errors.  Thanks for your help.

I don't recall it ever prompting nor do I see anything about it in the instructions.  At what point should I encounter this?  Is it on a particular disk?

I think it was the custom install option. You can always run the installer again.

I don't think that's it.  I reinstalled and chose custom every time possible and there were no options for either of these things.  Looking at the Windows Embedded Images Folder I see files for IE and WMP there.

Are you sure you don't have some custom components that are being referenced?  There's something missing here.

I notice all these missing dependencies seem to reference Full XP Pro 2007... does that need to be included as well?  The instructions stated using one or the other.

No custom components nor need for the 2007 verson. I have only tested this with the full release version of the tools. Are you using the full release version?

I installed everything off the disc set other than the few optional items not required.  Would this not be the full release??

Sean is right, an option for IE7 is available when running the setup.  After having added the option, the dependency check works fine.

this looks more like his toolkit is not fully up to date and he could have used the wrong sld file

install toolkit then add the updates for the toolkit

then try the full xp sld and see what happes

also when you imported hte xp sld into the database was there any errors generated then?
