Answered Failed to install AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics driver on XPE

    Hi all,

I'm creating a new XPE image for a new AMD platform. I have created all the related driver components successfully by Component Designer . But the VGA driver load failed in device manager as the side picture shown. VGAFailedInstalled

Let me tell you my history of trying to find a solution.

I check FBALog first , and the error info is as following,

10:52:53 AM -  [PnpEnumThread: InstallDevice] SetupDiCallClassInstaller Error: 0x2, Device: AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics --> According to Common FBA Log File Error , this means there may be missing a dependency, but I don't know what dependency is missing. So I still do not know a solution at this time.  :(

Then I try to install the driver by the AMD installation package named "CATALYST Install Manager", but still failed. The AMD report file under %Programfiles%/ATI/Reports/Report.xml show that the AMD SM Bus driver install failed.

Then I try to check the log file under %Windows%\setupapi.log, the related log info is as following,

Let me try to summarize here, my key problem is that the AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics driver can not be installed successully no matter by driver component, or by package install. And the associated log file also can not give me a clear direction to solve this problem.

    Any help will be appreciate.

There was a similar post recently. You might be running into the old ATI driver import issue. I have a ATI component and documentation on my site: http://www.seanliming.com/Docs/Components/ATI_Video_Components.pdf

The ATI Hotkey Poller service's Startname property needs to be set to LocalSystem.

    Hi Sean,

    Thank you for your reply.

I can not access the web link you provided. Could you send the "ATI_Video_Components.pdf" to me? My Email address is gittylu@hotmail.com .

    Hi Sean,

I have downloaded the ATI_Video_Componets.pdf by google app engine + goagent + firefox.

And after I modify the ATI Hotkey Poller service's Startname , it worked!

Actually I needn't a package install, it just worked fine with the driver component. :D

Thank you very very much ~~~
