.NET-BroadcastEventWindow.2.0.0.0.378734a.0: System.Application.exe - Application Error

    General discussion

  • Hello,

I have a windows .NET application that runs on a couple of servers. When accessed from one of the servers, and after exiting the application throws the following error:

    ---------------------------
    .NET-BroadcastEventWindow.2.0.0.0.378734a.0: System.Application.exe - Application Error
    ---------------------------
The instruction at "0x53ba1a5f" referenced memory at "0xb9ea4264". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This happens only when a report is printed from the application on that server, and then the application is exited. The same error does not happen on other servers with the same scenario.

Any one have any ideas as to what the cause may be?

    Many thanks,
    Marise

  • Hi Marise,

    Welcome to MSDN forums!

Could you supply the following information about your scenario?

    1. Whether the offending computer has same configuration(OS, CLR version, etc) with other runnable computers.

    2. Whether you can debug the application with VS debugger to see which code line raises the error. We need to know what operation it is executing.

    3. You can use Process Explorer to see whether the application loads the same DLL in different environment to see whether the different version is the culprit here.

    Best regards,
    Riquel
