Outlook client doesnt show any data

    Question

  • After installation of CRM outlook client for CRM2011 into Outlook2007, no records appear in CRM lists. When I go to into e.g. contacts or accounts, the list is empty and header of the list is like on the list of emails. If I go to advanced find the IE window appears and I can search records, it is working but outlook inself doesnt show any data.

When I grab the trace, there are some errors there:

  • There is no even possibility to change view so no view shows any data. See http://www.logicpoint.cz/tmp/outlook_error.png

    CRMWeb is working without problem.

Yes, we installed RU1 of CRM2011.

    Thanks

  • Why it is not possible to select other view? Privileges?

What about if that user you grant administrator role, just for testing purposes?

    regards,

  • By any chance you are running your CRM App Pool Service by any service account other than Network Service account? Also is your CRM web server on W2K8 R2? please let me know.

    Thanks again.

  • Have you tried running the Diag wizard for the Outlook client to see if any items appear that need correction.  Also ensure all Outlook add-ons are removed and you may want to consider creating a new ost file for the user in the event that the file has been corrupted.

Most importantly, run the diag wizard from Start, Programs, Microsoft Dynamics CRM.... and see what it shows.  also, don't forget to try Pablo's suggestion and give the user Sys Admin rights temporarily to rule out security issues.

  • Pavel,

Did you ever find a resolution to this?  I am running into this very same issue on a user's Outlook CRM client.  We too have tried uninstallting/reinstalling the CRM client and a new mail profile.  We were going to attempt to reinstall Outlook next, but it doesn't look like that resolved your issue either.  We ran tracing and found the same error in the log.  This user can log into the web client find and access the views.

    Ideas?

    Thanks,

    Melissa

  • Melissa,

I am running into the same problem with CRM clients on Terminal Server.  Did you find a resolution?  No problem using the web client.
