Suspend Device [xxx] incurs a 1.0 second delay due to a waiting thread. DPC ACPI.sys!ACPIDevicePowerDpc readies this waiting thread.

  • It means that the suspend device operation (for the [xxx] device) took 1.0 second.

It is waiting for a DPC call to finish, and the DPC call is ACPI.sys!ACPIDevicePowerDpc.  It is likely that an ACPI method evaluation (executed in the aforementioned DPC) took a while to finish and may be responsible for the 1.0s delay.

To isolate the cause, look for the acpi.sys driver duration in the ETW trace (during the suspend device [xxx] operation).  If it is responsible for most of the 1 second, then it is the intermediate source.   At that point, you should rerun the experiment and turn on the ACPI ETW provider, which will give you information on which ACPI method evaluation start/stop in the ETW trace.
