Hi Jørgen, that's correct. Debugger Canvas was specifically scoped down to the task of debugging sessions, and debugging sessions aren't typically "reused". You can always export the canvas to an XPS file if you'd like to refer to it (read-only)
in the future. Persistent canvases are something I'm personally interested in but that was not the scope of this release of Debugger Canvas.
