How to control report view cookie size?

    Question

  • Hi,

We are using Apache app server to call the SSRS reports to render the reports.  It runs a while and get an error with cookie size to big message.

When tracing the call, I found the ReportViewer.aspx keeps generating cookies with value 1 and size 132 bytes. If the cookie size limit on Apache is set to 1000 bytes, run the report 8 times will get the error.

What I am looking for is

    1. from where the cookie in ssrs server is managed?
    2. can i set the timeout for those cookies?

    Thanks,

    David

  • Hi,

You can try to set this parameter "UseSessionCookies" to false.
