No Usage examples in Microsoft HealthVault SDK chm file

    Question

  • There should be usage examples for ALL of the methods documented in the Microsoft HealthVault SDK chm file.

It is very difficult to determined how to use these methods properly with little or no description and no usage examples.

The HealthVault samples are not sufficient to document the use of the methods.

  • There needs to be tutorial information included to explain the purpose and how to get basic functions done.

Every call, method and property needs a reasonable description to describe what the thing is for.

Every method needs usage examples to demonstrate how they are properly used in context.

There should be a glossary that gives a definition for all unique terminology.

All of the major HV access methods like SODA and DOPU should be explained in great detail with code examples.

If you want Developers like me to develop products and services that work with HealthVault, you are going to have to help us out a little with some reasonable documentation that is not just a collection of disconnected blog entries and obsolete sample code spread all over the Internet.

  • Don,

Thank you for your feedback. That is something that we are looking to do in the future.

Are there areas that you think would be best to focus on initially?
