page breaks in MS-Word

    Question

  • Hi,

I have a word document, where I insert a page break after the completion of a particular section. However, sometimes if the section ends with no space, the page break is inserted on the next page, but a blank page appears between the two sections. How can we control this behavior of page breaks?

    Any ideas?

  • What exactly do you mean by a section?  Is it a Section as the term is used in Word, being a part of the document that ends in a Section Break?

However, regardless of the answer to those questions, maybe you can overcome the issue by formatting the paragraph that follows the end of what you refer to as a section so that it has a page break before it, rather than using a hard page break, which is what I assume that you are doing at the moment.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi rythm,

I'm not sure about the meaning of "a blank page appears between the two sections", what's the meaning of the two sections?
Do you mean the particular section with another section or some other sections in the documents?
