Hello, I'd like to be able to rename what is essentially the PST file in Outlook. Currently it reads "Microsoft Dynamics CRM" and I'd like it to be the name of our company.

I have tried the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Demonstration Tools (for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0) but that only lets you rename entities in the Outlook navigation not the actual foldername...

    Can any one help?

    Thanks

    Tony

Yes this is an unsupported registry change for the Outlook user profile, but can be done quite easily. There are two registry points that will need to be changed, one for the outlook user profile and the other is the MSCRMMsgStore both under HKCU, but remember it is unsupported and do this at your own risk. Also direct registry edits are always risky and you should backup before trying.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Outlook\XXXXXXXXXX

    and

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Micrososft\MSCRMMsgStore
