I have one email address that is throwing errors in the event log (error below) when the router tries to. I had no problems with this until yesterday. My router is pushing emails into CRM for all other emails except this one. I've seen this error on several forums but no concrete answer for a fix. Help!
#27938 - An error occurred while checking for e-mail messages to process in mailbox xxx@xxxx.com. System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Does it have an attachment? If so, is it too large to promote? Is it an authorized file type to promote into CRM?
Are there any special characters showing in the subject?
If the e-mail is forwarded to the same user does it promote into CRM? If so, this could indicate a bad header.
Does the recipient of this e-mail receive other e-mail in CRM? If not, try approving the e-mail address of the user.

It turned out ot be one email that blocked the router from processsing all other emails sent to this address. Once I removed it, the problem went away. I did see an underscore ( _ ) in the email, but there have also been other emails processed with those in the subject. How can I check to see if it has a "bad" header? What constitutes a bad header? We seem to have several emails that still don't make it in and I can't figure out why.
thanks Jason!
