    Greetings all,

I have a case study that says: I need a online social network that has the ability to containt in it's core a e-commerce system between it's members. It's basically a website that I woudl have a Blog system (MOSS 2007) with a bunch of scraps and stuff, then I would have a contact list between those members (Friendship based, like Orkut) and then I could have the possibility to link those members to their own shopping page (that's where commerce server should get in).

I don't know anything about commerce server, but I'm a MOSS expert. But key concerns is :  is there  a feature where a site member can make his own shopping page (selling)? Making that true, I would be able to link his selling page to his Blog for an instance and then I could have a social networking with the e-commerce.

    Is that possible?

    Hi Pedro,

It's not a default OOTB setup. You would need to build alot of customisation to implement the process, however it is possible. The best way forward would be for the site to create a catalog for each user, and the user is able to add products to there own catalog only. You would need to centralise the checkout features/shooping basket facilities, and customise some of the profile attributes... but essentially if you want to put some work into it I ama sure you can get your own result. However as I say its not a standard feature..
