How to create a VM for Windows Server 2012

    Question

  • What are the minimum requirements to create a virtual machine to run the new Windows Server 2012 as a Guest?

For instance, can I user Windows Hyper-V Server 2088 R2 as a host?

I have searched for documentation to help on this question but had no luck until now.

    Thanks.

  • I was running Windows Server 2012 as a guest on my 2008 R2 SP1 Hyper-V with no issues at all.  You have to have a virtualization engine that support 64-bit operating systems - that's about it.
