Write and read data on Hardware via RS232 serial port by MFC

    Question

  • Hi guys,

currently I am doing a software. It is a user interface which could read and write data from hardware memory via RS232 serial port. It is a window form, I created it by MFC. Currently, I have finished the serial port communication part.

BUT the point is I have no idea how to write and read data to and from a specific address in Memory.  Does anybody could give me some hints on it? Thanks

  • Windows applications do not have access to hardware addresses.  Is that what you want?  If some hardware device provides data at hardware addresses then you need a device driver for that device, and your program would call the device driver.
