Locked Which Visual C++ to Start?

    Given that the Azure SDK is not supported yet on Windows 8 Consumer Review, which OS(Win7 or 8/Visual Studio (10 or 11) do you recommend to dive into Cassablanca? This is very exciting btw!

    I'm happy you asked... :-)

    It depends on what you want to accomplish: if you want to see your service running in Azure at the end of the day, then please go with Visual Studio 2010 and Windows 7. If you want your nifty Metro client to store data in Azure or access other services, you have to go with Visual Studio 11 and Windows 8. Note that it is possible to get the Azure SDK working on Windows 8 CP, there's just a few manual steps you have to take. It does not, however, work with Visual Studio 11, on any OS.
