    Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};Dbq=RemoteServerName\Path\mydatabase.mdb;SystemDB=RemoteServerName\Path\mydatabase.mdw;

      COPY TO CLIPBOARD
    Exclusive

    This is the connection string to use when you have an access database protected with a password using the Set Database Password function in Access.
    Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=RemoteServerName\Path\mydatabase.mdb;Jet OLEDB:Database Password=MyDbPassword;

      COPY TO CLIPBOARD
    Workgroup (system database)

    Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=RemoteServerName\Path\mydatabase.mdb;Jet OLEDB:System Database=system.mdw;

      COPY TO CLIPBOARD
    Workgroup (system database) specifying username and password

    Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=RemoteServerName\Path\mydatabase.mdb;Jet OLEDB:System Database=system.mdw;User ID=myUsername;Password=myPassword;

  • I need to connect to a mdb file located in internet from a VB desktop application.

    For Example:

    My database is located here: http://www.mysite.com/dbfolder/mydb.mdb

    What should I do in VB 6.0?

    Thanks
