hi guys,
we are trying to connect a rfid reader to biztalk rfid. we are using the provider "LLRP". we created the picknic.xml with ListMulticastNics.exe and modified the SelectedAdapterId in the xml-file with the right guid from the ethernid-adapter. then we tried to create a new device in the biztalk rfid manager. we get an error when biztalk tries to create the connection, when timeout after 45 seconds reaches.
the error message when the connection should be stablished says: "RFID Server Error: A connection could not be established to the device".
there are some errors in the logfile about queue overflow, but we don't now if this has to do something with the problem.
can anybody help us please?
thnaks and all our best.

Hi Florian,
Just to make sure, the device you are attempting to connect is an LLRP device, right? If it is an LLRP device, entering the IP/Host Name of the device should enable you to connect to the device, provided you don't already have an active connection to the device (LLRP devices support only LLRP connection at a time).
Please ensure that the IP and port have been properly configured for the device, and if you are still unable to reach the device, please send across the LLRP provider logs to rfidsupport at microsoft dot com.
HTH,
Kranthi.

Hi Kranthi,
Thanks for your answer. Our reader is not an LLRP device. We getting a connection with an own DSPI driver.
Kind regards,

Hi Mohamed,
Please view this tutorial video:
http://learn.impinj.com/articles/en_US/RFID/Using-the-Speedway-Revolution-Reader-with-Microsoft-BizTalk-RFID-Server-version-2010/
LLRP generic provider comes with Biztalk RFID, you will see it as an option in the video at time point 1:35 (min:sec)
That being said, it is best to use the vendor device provider if available.
Regards,
Louis
