I have a cycle tour coming up and have planned a series of routes, When I try to save the route, it asks me to sign in , which I do, now after existing  bing maps, I return and look at my saved maps , and it says, none saved , although it shows the headings of all routes I input, but when I click to view there is nothing there, What am I doing wrong??>

Note this forum is for questions about the Bing Maps development API's and not the Bing Maps consumer site. Use the feedback button on that site.  That said, their is no optiont o save a route in the Bing Maps consumer site. You can draw a line and save that on the map. Note you need to use the drawing tool that's in the "My Places" panel.
