Composite Domain severly limited - am i using it wrong?

    Question

  • Im trying to use consolidated domains, but I think either they are severely limited, or I am using it wrong.

    Scenario:
I have a table with the following data:

    Country Code Category
    UK Category B
    UK Category B
    UK Category C
    GR Category B

    I created 2 domains

    1. CountryCode = UK
    2. Categroy = 2

I then consolidated them in a consolidated domain.
I need the consolidated domain to flags any rows with a Country Code of "UK" & a category Code of "C"  as invalid.

    Issues
    1. When I create a new DQS Project and try and map both columns to the consolidated domain, I cant. I can only map one column in the source table to the consolidated Dimension. this does not seem correct.

    2. The consolidated domain only wants to fix invalidated rows, it wont simply mark them as invalid. Is there any way for the rows to simply be flagged as invalid, instead of needing to be fixed/changed to correct values?
