Stage 2. Patient Portal requirement

    Question

  • I am working to show how HV can handle the patient portal requirements. The area I am stuck on is the ability to prove that a patient has accessed their record. I know there is the ability to determine if the user as made changes to their data(events, API call). But in this case I need to show that they have accessed the record just to view it. Its not clear how to do that.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Greg, HealthVault does not expose this info to apps at the moment.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the answer. I don't see how we can use HV as the patient portal for MU2.

  • With MU2, we would expose it to apps in MU2 reports.

  • could you elaborate on this?

You say "would" does this mean it doesn't exist yet?

    Thanks for you patience.

  • Greg,

In the next major release of HealthVault (early November) HealthVault will provide a set of new APIs to retrieve VDT reports. If you're ready to begin developing against this, we have a preview environment where you can get started integrating. Send us a note at hvtech@microsoft.com if you're interested and we'll get you setup.
