StreamInsight and Data Coming from a Database

    Question

  • Hello,

Where can I find a good example on using StreamInsight to process data from a relational database?

    Please, no Azure... :-)

    Thanks!

  • I'm not aware of any input adapters for relational databases - at this time, at least.

However, there is a CSV input adapter in the StreamInsight samples on CodePlex. While not exactly the same, you use a similar process with a relational store.

Is the relational database historical data that you want to "replay" through StreamInsight? Or are you planning on polling the database at an interval to get updates?

  • Hello, DevBiker, thanks for your reply!

I'm thinking about polling the database and having some rules firing. I have the notion that I can periodically feed through an observer values coming from a database, but I was expecting to find some examples.
