Answered Controlling the distance of a label from its edge

    Hi,

I'm using MSAGL to an excellent effect.

A small thing that has been bothering me, though, is that sometimes edge labels would not appear close to their edges, making it unclear which label belongs to which edge. Granted, one could drag the label and see the line indicating just that, but I was hoping for a parameter that helped in drawing the labels closer to the edges to begin with (possibly even overlaying them)

    Thanks

    Hi,

I don’t have a good advice here, sorry. You can try to set SugiyamaLayoutSettings.LabelCornersPreserveCoefficient to a larger value than the default 0.1, try 0.5 or 1, but I suspect it would not help much.

    Thanks,

    Lev

Yes, I tried setting that but as you said, I didn't notice a difference.

Well, it's not that big of an issue really, I simply arrange the labels myself - It would be great if it were addressed in some future version

Thanks again and kudos for the great product,
