there's the unsolved "Write Code" problems. You may have the error as below when you click the Write Code button in LightSwitch Table view.

I also got the problem and fixed by uninstalling the Async CTP. As far as I know, this is not resolved until last week, at least. (Feb, 1. 2012)

DO NOT INSTALL LightSwitch2011 with Async CTP.

This seems to be a bug that I did not know about when I replied to the thread. Please note that Async CTP is a technology preview and is not intended to be installed on a production machine since it did not go through rigorous testing as fully supported products do. The answer yes was to the question on whether Light Switch and Async CTP can be installed togather, the answer is still yes. 

In light of this bug, I agree with your recommendation to not install Async CTP and Light Switch on the same machine.
