Blog Site Template pages 401 Un authorized in Anonymous Site

    Question

  • I have a public facing anonymous web application, it is working for all intents and purposes. Recently we had a requirement to add a blog site to our deployment. When anonymous users click on a blog entry item they are prompted for credentials. The site is configured to allow anonymous access and the lists within the site are also configured to allow anonymous access. The rest of our site is serving up pages anonymously with no problem.

Below is the ULS Log for the page request.

If I try access any of the following pages anonymously I receive the same type of 401 error.

Does anyone know how to check the permissions for the pages listed above or have any idea's why I'm being prompted?
