connecting to mySql DB using ODBC driver

Question

Hello.

I have a problem with my connecting to mySql DB using ODBC driver. 

It shows me an error:ERROR [HY000] [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Access denied for user 'xxxxxx'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Can somebody help me with this problem ?

That's my connection string: 

Dim MyConnString As [String] = "DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver};Server=localhost;Database=xxx;Uid=xxx;Pwd='xxx'"

Yes I verified and it is working properly.

From the error message it sounds like the username or/and the password are incorrect but I checked it lots of times and they are correct.

I do not know what is the problem.
