    Hi;

    I use Microsoft Access 2007 and i am developer programmer at Access 2007.

    I am wondering what happened the maximum record (for data) number oof Access 2007.

    What are your suggestions to me if it exceeds the number of records?

    I will be waiting for your advices.

    Regards;

    Access doesn't have a maximum number of records. What it does have is a maximum file size for mdb or accdb files: 2 Gb.

    If you exceed that limit, you could try using a second database file (or more), although you cannot enforce referential integrity across multiple databases. However, if you really do have that much data, you're probably better off using a server-based DBMS such as SQL Server.

    I would like to thank you so much for your advices.

    I have two more questions.   I appreciated if you can help me please.

    1) Access is also prepared to open a database without installation of the Access in a computer, what should I do?

    2) Sometimes, I take the error message as below. What should be the reason of error ? And how should I solve it?

    "a problem occured while program was communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX Control"

    Thank you very much in advance.

    Regards;

    I'm sorry: I don't understand your first question. You cannot open an Access database without Access (either the complete version or the free runtime version) being installed on the client.

    There are a number of things that could contribute to the second error message. What are you doing when the error occurs? One common cause is double-clicking on an ActiveX control while in design view. If the problem occurs often, you may have to try and recreate the form. You might also consider doing a decompile of your application.
