Visual c# registration site does not work in IE8?
I tried registering Visual C# Experess edition, by clicking on the link.
I logged in using my Live account, and then I get the green circle, with an "error in page" indication.
The error is:
הודעה: לשרת אוטומציה אין אפשרות ליצור אובייקט
שורה: 170
תו: 1
קוד: 0
URI: https://profile.microsoft.com/RegSysProfileCenter/Wizard/AjaxLite.js(automation server can not create object, line 170 character 1 code 0, for those of you who can not read Hebrew :) )
I am using IE8
Thanks

- Hi Goldi the golden,
Could you please try the following tricks:
- Try another default browser - like Firefox
- Make sure your internet proxy settings are configured correctly
- Try disabling any antivirus/internet security software while you try to register.
- Try resetting all the IE security settings to default (even if it's not your default browser).
- Make sure you are signed in with the correct email account that you have a Live ID with. If you're signed in with a different account, then it won't work.
Have a look at the Registration FAQ as it may help. If all else fails, you can try the offline install which doesn't require a registration key.
Hope this helps! :)
Best regards,
Yichun Chen

- Thanks for the idea.
I tried with IE again, reset the security settings etc. and it still did not work.
With Firefox - everything went smooth. - Hi Goldi the golden,
