Integration Services package
- I am trying to learn Integration Services with 2008 express. Once I create a new project and I create a package mapping out a flat file source, I receive an error that VS cannot load this document. The error indicates that I need to install Integration Services but it seems like it has been installed. Can Integration Services be used in 2008 SQL express

- Hi,
2008 SQL express is having limited support to Integration Services. So it is not advisable to work on SQL SERVER 2008 Express edition.
For capabilities between SQL Server 2008 Enterprise, Standard, Workgroup, Web and Express editions please look at the following link

- Hi,
For learning SSIS purposes it is better to get a developer edition installed on to your system and start going through the documentation in MSDN library for SSIS.
