Not able to see c# under visual studio installed templates

Hi,
I am new to C#.net programming. I just started learning this.
I have visual studio 2008 installed in my system. To create program when i click new project, it shows me only SQL Server analysis, reporting and integration services projects in visual studio installed templates. I do not see anything to create the c# project there.
I now install visual studio c# express version, that works.
Just wondering if i can create c# project in visual studio 2008 rather in c# express.
Please suggest!
Thanks.

Hi babbupunia,
Welcome to the MSDN forum.
Not knowing what have your done to VS2008.
So I may need more information.
Now please first show me VS2008 edition and then follow these steps to see if it can be fixed:
Go to Tools>>Import and Export Settings>>Reset all settings>>Choose yes or no to save current settings>>
Then choose Visual C# Development Settings or General Development Settings.
So that you can have templates you need.
If this cannot fix, show me more details about your issue, maybe a screenshot can show us the details,
Thanks,

Hi Barry,
Thanks for replying. I tried doing the same thing you suggested to reset the settings.
I go to Tools>>Import and Export Settings>>Reset all settings>>Choose yes or no to save current settings>>
Then choose Visual C# Development Settings or General Development Settings.
But do noy see any option for C# developement settings.
There are only two options.
- Businees Intelligence settings.
- General Development settings.
Am i missing something?
Thanks,
Punia

Hi Punia,
What's your VS version? Visual C# 2008 Express?
Could you share a screen shot of "New project window"?
It seems you haven't installed completely. I recommend you download Visual Studio 2008 C# Express to install http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/en-us/products/2008-editions/express
That will be a test if you can install C# templates successfully.
What's more, you can open your ISO to repair Visual Studio.
If you have any updates, feel free to let me know.
Thanks,
