Every time I search I must take extra mouse clicks to close this annoying box.  I have one suggestion, get a UI designer who knows not to annoy users with forced response.  Lose this box.

This was fixed in our April release. Give it a try and let me know if you're still seeing any problems.

    (Speaking as me)

I have a thread (in Users Forums / Bug ...) on this box blocking most of the breadcrumbs while using the new forum software.

In that thread it was concluded that it happens with Safari for the Mac and not with IE8, IE7 or Chrome (*) and I was told that the support guy for the new forum software would have a word with the right people to get this sorted out.

I'm not sure whether that was exactly your problem but just in case ...

(*) Later: It DOES affect Chrome as well.

We have a bug right now affecting Safari and Chrome: the auto-complete drop-down opens automatically. We are fixing that in our April release. VideoPhool, is that the behavior you're seeing?

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes, I am in Chrome, and this is the behavior.

The Suggestions box seems to have moved slightly up the screen so that it no longer covers the forum breadcrumbs (this is Safari for the Mac).

However it continues to be a real PIA and it would be very good if once you have closed the thing it would stay closed. It is annoyingly in your face all the time you are in the forums and as far as I am concerned completely pointless.

Can you use your influence to either get this dropped altogether; moved to a less central part of the screen or preferably allow us to get rid of it for good.

This is a team thinking that their bit of software is more important than it is.

We will be fixing this issue currently affecting Safari and Chrome in our April release. I'll reping this thread when that comes out so you can confirm that's it's worked for you. Sorry for the inconvenience.
