Office University is not opening downloaded files.

Question

I just downloaded the Office University and regularly download Word documents and powerpoints from my school's website, but my computer is not recognizing Microsoft Word, only WordPad....not sure how to change it...Word and Powerpoint do not show up when I right click to Open With????
