StellaC - MSFT Saturday, October 25, 2008 12:24 AMHi All,
I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Stella Chan and I am a lead program manager in SQL Server Reporting Services team and my team works on the Data Visualization and reporting controls.
I started at Microsoft more than 10 years ago after gradudating from Harvard University with a Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics. And I have been programming since I was 11 years old and have been creating charts/graphs and visualizations throughout my academic career.
Prior to joining reporting services, I have mainly worked out data mining engines, visualizations, analytics and business intelligence applications except for my last project. In my last project, I was the system and release PM for Microsoft RoundTable, the 360 panoramic conferencing device from MS.
Anyways, I want to say hi. My team will be actively monitoring this forum.
Welcome!

StellaC - MSFT Saturday, October 25, 2008 12:17 AMWelcome to the forum. We are pleased to announce that we have released Microsoft Chart Controls for .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, which includes the ASP.NET and Windows Forms Chart Controls.
Downloads1. Microsoft Chart Controls for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 – This installs the ASP.NET and Windows Forms Controls. The assemblies will be installed in the GAC as well as in the “%Program File%\Microsoft Chart Controls\Assemblies” folder. If you build an application using the controls, your setup and deployment should add MSChart.exe installer as a pre-requisite.
2. Microsoft Chart Controls for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Language Pack – This installs the language pack for the Chart Controls. It is available in 23 .NET Framework languages.
3. Microsoft Chart Controls Add-on for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 – This installs the IntelliSense file in English for the controls and also adds the controls to the toolbox for ASP.NET and Windows Forms.
Where do we find more information?
Please feel free to post questions and comments regarding the programmability of the Chart controls in this forum. Our team will be monitoring this forum regularly.
