the iZune is the worst music player device mp3 player whatever you'd like to call it ever made. [and i AM a PC]-(i call it the iZune because of its sick nature) in the history of all time-never has such a mistake occurred, in any field of human endeavor, and never by such persons who would seemingly, one would assume, have the knowledge (wisdom?-ha!) to succeed at such a creation. it cannot sync protected content-such as from 'napster' or 'rhapsody' to go-which is insanely wrong and makes me want to put a bullet in my head for purchasing it-also making it about equal to the iPod-which i guess, means microsoft has slapped themselves in the face-or raped themselves up the a$$-by manufacturing millions of abominations to the great 'life without walls' ideal it supposedly stands for. that and 50% of the time, when i plug it into my admired pc-it tells me "usb device not recognized". What is that??!!?!?-A 'microsoft' device-(although i wonder if steve jobs created it HIMSELF!)-Not Recognized-BY A PC???!?!? Jesus they dropped the ball here-and the saddest part is-i believe it was because of sly and hidden greed to create a similiar product as the iPod-THE ZUNE IS A SLAVE TO ITS OWN 'ZUNE' SERVICE-ITS ONLY MASTER-just as the iPod is a slave to iTunes-which makes this product the biggest travesty in the history of microsoft-and because of the money machine and its relative success-i fear that Mr. Bill Gates will Never FIX THIS. [Sir, I would love a replacement-IF-you CORRECT THIS]. -MPO

Well, I have a Zune and I like it. It's been reliable and produces decent quality music. I lost my first one (In Copenhagen airport) and was happy getting antoher one. And I can avoid iTunes!

And yes you can get the Zune to be recognised by the PC - do some searching and you would find that out. As for not recognised, it's because you did not load the drives on the machine you are plugging it into. I see this in my laptop (I have the Zune associated with my home desktop PC) but the device does charge which is all I want.

    HTH.
