Proposed AnswerHealthVault CCD support

Does HealthVault support CCD level 2 documents (containing only narrative/textual blocks) or is a fully structured (level 3) document required?
If both CCD 'levels' are supported, how are they treated by the HealthVault platform, eg what are the differences in presentation from a consumer perspective?

The reason for this question is that, due to lack of support for coding systems like LOINC or SNOMED-CT in the netherlands, it is rather difficult to upload level 3 CCD documents to HealthVault from a dutch emr system, without extensive mapping from regional coding systems to a terminology like SNOMED-CT

Yes and no - if I understand the question correctly.

You can certainly upload CCDs with only narrative / textual blocks as long as they are schematically compliant.  These CCDs should, for the most part, render and be viewable in the HealthVault Shell.  The CCD view that we use is almost completely displaying what is contained in the narrative blocks.  However, the user will likely not be able to 'reconcile' or add items from the CCD into their record as individual types.  The logic used to execute the mapping to HealthVault data types, in most cases, greatly depends on the structured content of the CCD.
