ADFS(Fabrikam-Contoso Lab Setup) Step By Step Guide. https://docs.contoso.com prompting for credential

Question

After extending web application mentioned in the document "adfs2-how-to-setup-lab-environment-for-federated-collaboration.pdf"  on page 41, when I try to access the website using https://docs.contoso.com  to upload "Contoso Statement of General Terms.docx" document, it  prompts me for credential three times and nothing appears in IE. I dont get any certificate warning page.  I am running MOSS 2007 SP2 x64 on WIN2k8R2.

any suggestions????

Make sure you've built very similar to what Microsoft recommended in the guidance. I'm not sure if something in terms of network connection or virtualization environment makes your lab failed.

Well, When I access the Extranet site(docs.contoso.com) from fabrikam side, it runs successfully.But when I access the site from Consoto DC, it keeps prompting for credentials check. I tried to configure the registry modification(disableloopbackcheck=1). It didnt work. Is it by design that extranet sites are not accessible from same domain/network.??

I have proceeded the lab to next step when I found that log in from fabrikam is working. Now, after chaning web.config file and pasting contoso_label.png file/forms authentication to top list. When I try to access the https://sts.contoso.com from Fabrikam/Contoso side, the page executes successfully, after logging in, it says "An Unexpected Error Has Occurred". ??

Last and least, to download preconfigured VM(s), I log into Connect Website, it says "You are not authorized/permitted to access the content". How can i download those preconfigured VM(s).

I managed to resolve the error when logging into AD FS 2.0 sign in page. Actually, the user account I was logging in with didn't contain 'email address' attribue in ADUC. I put in one. It logged in successfully. I took help from the following link.
