Excel Web Query is not working with Bing Search API.

Leave the username blank and input the password with the account key, the error is:

"The authorization type you provided is not supported.  Only Basic and OAuth are supported"

If using Excel DataMarket AddIn, Bing Search API can retrieve the results.

    Any helps be appreciated.

When sign in the datamarket.azure.com, Bing Search API can bring back the results.

If paste the url to a new IE window and input the password with the account key, the same error happens:

The authorization type you provided is not supported. Only Basic and OAuth are
    supported

    How can solve it?

    HI

If you don't want use outh, you can obtain an account key. This mode of authentication replaces the AppID used in the Bing Search API 2.0. You can obtain your account key by using either of the following methods:

Go to the Account Keys page and add a new account key for your application. This is the recommended method because you can remove this account key if it becomes compromised.

Go to the Account Keys page and use the default account key.

I've already tried to use the primary account key and a new account key, both ways fail to work.

Could you explain a bit more how are you trying to use Web queries with the Marketplace?

Generally speaking, we prefer the direct way of acquiring data (through either direct integration with Excel or through PowerPivot integration).

    Thanks,
