  • Is it possible to Start/Stop/Disable/Enable replication subscriber sync from publication server on a PULL subscription merge replication.?

  • This can be done from the Publisher by disabling the SQL account used to do the pull.

  • Any other ideas.?? We basically use one sql account for all the subscribers(around 100). am looking for a way to stop the sync when some of the servers go down(say 50). And it would be a overload when all come back online at the same time. So looking for a way to control them at the publisher end.

  • Use different accounts for each subscriber.  You could also connect to the subscriber and stop the sync.  Other than that, there is no other way.
