SyncAdapter/SyncAgent and SyncOrchestrator

    Question

  • In the tutorials, I found 2 completely different approaches to use Microsoft SyncFramework

Been wondering what is the different between this

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb726003%28v=sql.110%29.aspx ---- Using SyncAdapter and SyncAgent

    and this

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff928701.aspx  ---- Using SyncOrchestrator

Both is considered using SyncFramework or only the second one is considered using SyncFramework?

Please help me, really appreciate any inputs.

Answers

  • They're both part of Synchronizing Framework.

They differ in how they track changes and the way they store what was synched.
