Vacation Approval Workflow

    Question

  • Is the Absence and Vacation Scheduler available for Sharepoint 2010? My predecessor used it with WSS 3.0 and I need to find the same solution for Sharepoint 2010.

  • You just start creating it like you would any workflow.  I haven't used that particular template, but you can build workflows now just like you could in 2007.  Fire up SharePoint Designer 2010 and build it, or use Visual Studio.  SPD2010 is much more powerful and flexible when building codeless workflows now than it was in 2007, so it's very likely that you can build a near-replica.

  • So any idea how I recreate the Workflow similiar to what the AVS provided to WSS 3.0?
