    Question

  • Hi

When I used to send some messages from pocket pc to server code through Socket programming it produces error. Socket programming which am using is Tcp/Ip .I got an error as "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host ". please help me over to fix this problem.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Maha,

The only thing I can suggest in this instance is to get a network trace on both machines and see if you can see any RST packets coming from the client/server. That will tell you which side is the one forcibly closing the connection and if you look around that packet you might see why it closed the connection. i.e. Network issues, packets didn't make it, corrupt
    packet etc.
