Adobe Reader and IE10

    Question

  • Good afternoon all...

I work at a major financial institution and we're testing our IE10 and Metro-based portals on behalf of our customers...

In IE10 & Metro, when we attempt to open a PDF in the browser,  the default is to download the PDF instead...This is similar to the, "How do I force view a pdf file in an iframe instead of invoking the save as dialog in IE9?" question posed in a previous discussion...

It appears that the current answer(s) revolve around the user setting/resetting the IE defaults...We're trying to mitigate our customers doing anything (aka, maintaining transparency as we coax them from IE6 & IE7)...

Is there any way to address this with minimum banking customer involvement?  Thanks.
