Total of Sub Total in Grand Total raw

    Question

  • Can anyone please tell me how should I set the Expression for red marked text box ? Manually: Red Box value = Subtotal of Box1 Keep_Level+ Subtotal of Box2 Keep_Level

If I set Expression to : =Sum(Fields!Keep_Level.Value), the result is comming = 80

  • Hi There

Just try to create a new dataset with distinct sum like this

    SELECT     SUM(DISTINCT Amount) AS total
    FROM         GroupingProblem

and then use expression like this

    =Sum(Fields!total.Value, "DataSet2")

    I Hope this will help

    Many Thanks

  • Hi There

I think you can try the way I have said above just take the distinct sum of you keep-level and in the tablix footer just called the expression as I have done

I am sure it does not affect your report performance.

    Many thanks

  • Thank You So Much. It works fine as you told with a little modification. I had to add "Group By Name" in the query

Thank you for your reply. As you can see sub total is nothing but showing the keep_level. So I just select the keep_level  for sub total. But Grand total need some kind of expression to add all value in sub total.

    Hello Syed

Thank you for your reply. I think this would solve my problem. I am struggling to understand how did you group ? Can you please tell me details how u did it ? My original dataset1 is really big and about 10 parameters. And dataset1 is getting back about 30000 record. So will adding another dataset will make the report really slower ? Is there any way I can way around to get the result from same dataset ?

  • Hi Monir

I was searching for same issue and came across your post, I have the same issue, can you tell me how did you solve this,  how you add the expression , I tried creating new

data set , and when from I used GroupingProblem,  I got error, instead of creating new data set , is there a way to fix this by expression , I will be greatful.  I want to add just the total row, right now its sum up each row,

    thanks
