  • Are you loading an .aspx file in a browser, directly from the file system? The file:///C:/... URL suggests that. An .aspx file is supposed to be executed by the ASP.NET runtime on a web server like IIS or the Visual Studio development web server. So you would load e.g. http://localhost/dir/file.aspx in a web browser which then makes a request to the localhost server where the ASP.NET runtime excecutes the .aspx and sends content back to the browser.
Currently the browser tries to parse the .aspx source code file as an XML document which it is not and that way you get the error you see.

  • Hello,

This forum is about VS extensibility (macros, add-ins, SDK packages, etc.) and your question seems to be unrelated to that.

  • Hi, Lithrian

I moved your thread to the proper forum. Since your thread is off-topic in VSX.
    Thanks
