HTML Help Workshop

    Hii,

    I am a sole technical writer for a small software company. I have created a large document in MS Word and want to know whether I can convert that document into a help project using Microsoft HTML Help Workshop. I tried doing it myself but cudn't succeed.

    I think most people would advise against using Word for HTML Help authoring because its HTML output is full of Office-specific markup, inline styles, and the like. However, you can overcome these deficiencies to some extent by filtering the HTML output, as described here:

    If you anticipate doing a lot of help authoring, it would be worth investing in a dedicated tool, such as RoboHelp for Word or Doc-To-Help.
