Configure WIFI password using ActiveSync

    Question

  • I have around 60 WM 6.1 devices to configure for our WIFI network. Our password is 32 characters of randomly generated upper and lower case numbers and letters. I can't face keying this in 60 times using a WM keyboard. Is there a way to drag and drop the WIFI configuration using ActiveSync?

    Thanks

  • You can try using CM_WiFiEntries CSP: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa455857.aspx

You would also need to write a DLL (in C++) which would be RAPI invokable and calls DMProcessConfigXML() with required configuration file:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb158518.aspx

Then you can use RAPI to deploy and invoke that DLL to setup Wi-Fi.
