Also, there is documentation on the convert feature for the Open API:-
    http://clients.multimap.com/share/documentation/openapi/1.2/web_service/ws_coordtransformation.htm

To clarify, the convert feature is not available on the commercial API by default.  As mentioned we recommend using lat and lon as the convert feature will be deprecated in the future.

    Thanks, John.

Look at it another way ; convert your easting/northing to a lat/long that the MM API can use directly.  I guess we're talking UK OS here?

This post offers a service based method -
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/multimapapi/thread/a81ada5e-43ac-4a85-bab7-d28f011091fe
but warns it may be withdrawn

There are many scripts out there for conversions, either client-side or server-side, examples
    http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=javascript+convert+os+grid

Or if you only want to know one specific place e.g. "my house" just click on the regular Multimap to find the coordinates
