User specific display views in SharePoint 2010

    Question

  • Hi Techies,

I am working on complaint registration functionality. For this I have created one complaint list(custom list) and complaint forms (using infopath 2010). Now the requirement I need is :

e.g. If there are 2 user groups Group A and group B and 2 display views View1 and View2.

If logged in user belongs to Group A then Display view should be View1 and ,

if logged in user belongs to Group B then display view should be View2

To achieve this I was trying to add User Roles in infopath 2010.But "User roles" option is disabled for browser enabled forms in infopath 2010.
    Please help me out.

  • I'm not sure you can accomplish this using AD. Alternatives would be to have the user groups in SharePoint lists. Then you could set a rule on your form load to display the correct form. Another method you could use is to use content types to set up the two different forms.
