error while adding a role into existing deployment through IaaS

  • Hi,

    I am trying to add a role into the existing deployement and i am getting the below error:

    Request Status: Status: Failed, Message: 
    A ProvisioningConfigurationSet was not found in the ConfigurationSet collection of the virtual machine 
    When creating a virtual machine from an image, ProvisioningConfigurationSet must be specified. 

    Could you please help me.

    The Add Role request is specified as follows. Replace <subscription-id> with your subscription ID, <cloudservice-name> with the name of your cloud service and <deployment-name> with the name of your deployment.

    I was trying to add the role after giving all the above information which you have mention like(<subscription-id> , <cloudservice-name> and < deployment-name>)and getting the below error while getting the response.

  • Try removing the xmlns="" from the request.
