Import existing code into Visual Studio 2012 project keeping folder structure and making the imported code reside inside the VS project folder

    Question

  • Hi

I want to import some C++ code into Visual Studio 2012 such that folder structure remains intact and the source files are actually now stored under the VS project folder,

Also the new files should be visible in Solution Explorer as well.

How do I do the above? I am using Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate.

    Yours sincerely,

    Arvind.

  • Hi Arvind,

One idea is that you could copy your code files to the project folder and then add them as existing items in the solution Explorer Window.

    Best Regards,
